EDC announces slate of officers for fiscal year 2020/2021

Mayer passes Chair role to Song

SPACE COAST, Fla. (November 5, 2020) – The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC) has announced its slate of officers for its Fiscal Year 2020/2021 as follows:

  • Chair, Ms. Julie Song
    President,  FL Business & Manufacturing Solutions, Inc.
  • Chair-Elect, Mr. Bart Gaetjens
    Area External Affairs Manager, Florida Power & Light Company
  • Treasurer, Secretary, Mr. Kirk Hall
    CEO/CFO, Sentry View Systems ​​​​​​​
  • Immediate Past Chair, Mr. Joe Mayer
    Director, Government Relations – Florida, Lockheed Martin Space

The EDC officers represent a wide array of Space Coast industries. This group of professionals who provide valuable expertise in their fields, will enhance the EDC’s economic development efforts. Officers guide the EDC towards established strategic goals as it works on behalf of the community to create opportunities for the county, local businesses, and citizens.

“The EDC has always been proactive in its ability to adapt, strategize, and lead, and this was ever apparent during the challenges of 2020,” said incoming Chair Julie Song during the EDC’s 2020 Annual Meeting on October 28. “I look forward to serving as EDC Chair for the upcoming fiscal year, as we triumph through the challenges and continue the Space Coast’s path to the next great era for the community and economy.”
