NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine Meets with Aerospace Industry Leaders in Brevard County

Space Coast, FL (August 7, 2018) – Earlier today, the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC) and Space Florida hosted NASA Administrator Jim Bridenstine for an industry leader’s roundtable discussion. James Frederick “Jim” Bridenstine was nominated by President Donald Trump, confirmed by the U.S. Senate, and sworn in as NASA’s 13th administrator on April 23, 2018.

State Awards EDC with $500,000 for Brevard County Emergency Operations Center

Space Coast, FL (June 8, 2018) – The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast (EDC) has been awarded with a $500,000 Defense Infrastructure Grant from the Florida Department of Economic Opportunity. The award will support the Brevard County Emergency Operations Center (EOC) Civil Site Preparation project in support of Patrick Air Force Base.

EDC’s G.O. Contracts Program Brings $49 Million To Space Coast Companies

Space Coast, FL (March 19, 2018) –The Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast’s (EDC) G.O. Contracts program, a tool for small to medium sized businesses to seize government contracting opportunities, has brought $49 million in contract awards to more than 40 small businesses throughout the county, and that number is expected to grow.

Debbie Goode Awarded with FEDC Volunteer of the Year

Crystal Stiles, FEDC Board Chair, presented Goode with the award last night at the Economic Development Commission of Florida’s Space Coast’s (EDC) Board Meeting. This annual award honors individuals for their outstanding contributions to economic development in the state of Florida.
